Maximising Performance in Global Teams

Maximising Performance in Global Teams

Globalisation has led to organisations working in international teams. Finding a common lingua franca or language for all team members is a challenge that cannot be ignored. Over time, the English language has become this common language, though only 1 out of 6 are native English speakers. The pandemic has forced virtual communication to become the norm. Lack of the emotional connect that face-to-face interactions provide, often leads to miscommunication and misunderstanding in a virtual setup. The diverse cultural norms and values of team members further add to these challenges. Overcoming these challenges, however difficult they may seem, is essential to unleash your and your team’s full potential.
